Safety
The camping stove is made for outdoor use. It should not be used indoors. It should not be used inside tents or other confined places.
Not only does the camping stove create more soot compared to our other heaters, it has no built-in safety features. Whereas the Glow Wick range has anti-top protection, the camping stove does not. This heater should not be left burning unsupervised and it should only be used outdoors.
Wick
The camping stove comes with a wick installed. It should last over three years if the heater is well maintained. Basic maintenance requires that you keep the wick submerged in fuel; the easiest way to do this is to keep the heater topped up with fuel.
Failure to keep the wick moist will result in it burning out when the heater is next ignited.ย Replacement wicks are available for this heater for these instances.
Dimensions
The Camping Stove is:
- 44cm (H) x 32cm (W) x 32cm (D)
- 1’5″ (H) xย 1’1″ (W) x 1’1″ (D)
- Please note, imperial measurements are rounded to the nearest whole number.
Notes
- This heater radiates heat, as such the unit itself can become hot at the front. For this reason, we do not recommend using a radiant heater around small children or pets.
- Tozane, the recommended paraffin oil to use in this heater, is “virtually odour free”.ย It does carry a minor odour, however this is generally only noticeable during the start-up phase and when the machine is turned off.
- If you are particularly affected by sharp smells, even in small amounts, this may not be the heater for you.
- As with all heaters, basic safety precautions should be taken.
- e.g. do not leave this heater next flammable materials. Do not store the fuel next to this heater, do not use this heater in a non-ventilated area, etc. For more information, contact us directly.
- Do not let your wick run dry. If the wick is allowed to dry out, it can harden and become useless, or it can be burnt up by the flame. To ensure that you do not have these issues, ensure that your wick is always submerged in Tozane fuel.
