Fuel Pumps
These fuel pumps do the same job – one just requires a bit of manual labour (or smart utilisation of physics) to get the job done.
Electric
The Electric Fuel Pump uses two D-Cell batteries (not included) to operate.
To operate
Simply hold the red handle and place the black end into the fuel drum. Point the more flexible, translucent end into your heater’s fuel tank. When both are in position, press the red button to ‘on’ and allow the tank to fill. It’sย very easy.
Manual
The manual pump is the more, well, manual version. It requires a bit of manpower to operate.
To operate
Place the rigid end into the fuel drum. Place the more flexible end into your heater’s fuel tank. When both are in position, squeeze the red pump and allow it to decompress to fill the tank. This
To operate without using any force
You can use the manual pump to simply siphon the fuel. Place your drum of fuel above the tank that you want to fill. For example, place it on a large table; The bottom of the Tozane drum should be above the top of the fuel tank that you are filling up.
When you have this done and the ends of the pump are in each, pump a few times and soon you will have a steady flow of fuel.
Be careful using this method. Do not leave the pump unsupervised at anytime during this process. The fuel will flow very quickly without any effort, so keep an eye on the fuel gauge and be prepared to pull the pump out of both ends quickly (while being prepared to let the fuel that’s in the pump to drain safely into the tank)
