The 6ft x 8ft Mammoth Shed is measured externally, from the widest parts. These measurements are:

(Imperial measurements are to the nearest inch) - Metal Sheds are sold to the nearest foot and in rare instances, in rare instances, they may differ +/-10%*. Measurements are taken outside at the widest points and imperial measurements are rounded to the nearest whole number.
Base Requirements
This shed, like all our steel sheds, requires a complete, solid and level base. Concrete, paving slabs and hardcore stone all provided suitable bases – providing that they are complete, solid and level. Bases that only account for outer frame of the shed are not suitable, as the inner floor bars need to be supported.
Self Assembly Details
To make self-assembly as simple as possible, we recommend that you will need:
- A clear, calm day*
- At least two, able-bodied people
- A Cordless Screwdriver
- A ladder
- Patience & common sense.
*Do not under any circumstances attempt assembly of this shed in high winds.
People often ask how easy are these sheds to build and the answer is really, ‘it depends’. If you can follow the instructions correctly and if you have the correct tools, they should pose little challenge. We have completed assembly of this shed in 3 hours. However, for people that jump in without the instructions, or people who start modifying parts to ‘make them fit’, it can take over a weekend – or even be an insurmountable task.
If you have patience, plan ahead and follow the instructions, you will be fine.
Condensation Details
The Mammoth Shed is completely lined with an anti-condensation lining on both the internal walls and on the roof. It also has built in air vents to allow air flow throughout the shed. Both the lining and vents are incredible ways to combat condensation in the Irish climate.
The Mammoth shed is uniquely equipped to combat condensation and damp. Ireland has got essentially a temperate rainforest climate and buildings are liable to condensation forming within them during the Cold months particularly,
We also recommend that you incorporate a damp-proof membrane into your base, that you regularly air out your shed and that you do not put white goods into any steel shed. You will have zero issues with condensation if these steps are followed.
Colour
This shed has ‘Chinese Tea Green‘, panels. This translates to the RAL Colour, RAL 110 70 10.
The Doors, Apex, Window frame, Trims are RAL 7016 (Anthracite Grey)
