IMPORTANT NOTES RE: FUEL USAGE
All of our heaters are designed to run on C1 Grade Paraffin, like Tozane. They must use only the correct fuel to operate correctly. Heaters that use the incorrect fuel will void their warranty and they will not be serviced by our technician.
Kerosene is a non-distilled version of C1 grade paraffins. It contains considerably more impurities, grit and debris than paraffin oils and it has a much higher sulphr content. For a variety of safety reasons, it is not advisable to use kerosene in an indoor heater. Kerosene will clog up the mechanisms in a paraffin heater.
Any heater that is brought in for repair will be subject to a fuel test before any work can be performed on it. Other tests like visual inspections and fuel pump test will be carried out and for safety reasons, any heater that has had kerosene in it will not be worked on by our technicians.
The Rocket Heater & The Infrared Heater
The only exceptions to this rule are the Rocket Heater and the Infrared Heater. The Rocket Heater is designed to be used in large, draughty areas like workshops, warehouses, etc. It can run on kerosene, paraffin and a range of other fuels – however, whichever fuel you choose you must continue to use that fuel. You cannot mix fuels in this heater. The Infrared heater uses mains connection (i.e. electricity) to operate and no fuel is required for it.
